EPW - Touchon & Co, Swiss, 45.5mm, heavy 18K gold OF original Touchon & Co case, signed gold cuvette with signature ring additionally marked for retailer G.H. Francis of Bay City, Michigan, "G.H. Francis" and "Swiss" marked white enamel DS dial with stylish Arabic hour numerals, SW-SS, fully capped lever escapement, 21J, wheel satin nickel finish, s#58168. Gross weight of assembled watch 51.0 dwt (79.3 g). According to the consignor: "G.H. Francis was an attorney who began practicing in 1876." From the collection of Ethan Lipsig.

Mvt: Running, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, small patch of abrasion to ratchet wheel bridge left of barrel arbor, scattered fine to micro-fine scratches to plates, few mild small spots, crown wheel bridge missing one screw, mismatched case screws; dial with small surface dings or scratches to minute chapter at 9:30, very faint hl below seconds-register at 6, pinpoint nick and few fine scratches within seconds-register; nearly mint hands; case shows little wear, scratch inside rear, slight soft ding to lower-right of rear evident to interior of lid but with minimal visibility to exterior, good overall engine turning detail though with reduction at shoulder; tight bow, crown shows light wear with small ridge break; good glass crystal.
